Leuprolide is used to treat advanced prostate cancer in men. It is not a cure. Most types of prostate cancer need the male hormone testosterone to grow and spread. Use this drug for a condition that is listed in this section only if it has been so prescribed by your health care professional.Other leuprolide products may also be used to treat disorders of the uterus (e.g., endometriosis, fibroids). Carbamazepine is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat certain types of seizures in patients with epilepsy. It is also used to treat trigeminal neuralgia (a condition that causes facial nerve pain). Carbamazepine extended-release capsules (Equetro brand only) are used to treat episodes of mania (frenzied, abnormally excited or irritated mood) or mixed episodes (symptoms of mania and depression that happen at the same time) in patients with bipolar I disorder (manic depressive disorder; a disease that causes episodes of depression, episodes of mania, and other abnormal moods). Carbamazepine is in a class of medications called anticonvulsants. It works by reducing abnormal excitement in the brain.Carbamazepine comes as a tablet, a chewable tablet, an extended-release (long-acting) tablet, an extended-release capsule, and a suspension (liquid) to take by mouth. The regular tablet, chewable tablet, and liquid are usually taken two to four times a day with meals. The extended-release tablet is usually taken twice a day with meals. The extended-release capsule is usually taken twice a day with or without meals. To help you remember to take carbamazepine, take it at around the same times every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take carbamazepine exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.Swallow the extended-release tablets whole; do not split, chew, or crush them. The extended-release capsules may be opened and the beads inside sprinkled over food, such as a teaspoon of applesauce or similar food. Do not crush or chew the extended-release capsules or the beads inside them.Shake the liquid well before each use to mix the medication evenly.Your doctor will start you on a low dose of carbamazepine and gradually increase your dose.It may take a few weeks or longer before you feel the full benefit of carbamazepine. Continue to take carbamazepine even if you feel well. Do not stop taking carbamazepine without talking to your doctor. If you have a seizure disorder and you suddenly stop taking carbamazepine, your seizures may become worse. Your doctor will probably decrease your dose gradually.
Nicotine chewing gum is used to help people stop smoking cigarettes. It acts as a substitute oral activity and provides a source of nicotine that reduces the withdrawal symptoms experienced when smoking is stopped.Nicotine gum is used by mouth as a chewing gum and should not be swallowed. Follow the directions on the label, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Use nicotine gum exactly as directed. Do not use more or less of it or use it more often unless prescribed by your doctor.Usually treatment is started by using the 2-mg gum. Heavy smokers (those smoking more than 25 cigarettes per day) may start by using the 4-mg gum. Nicotine gum may be used regularly by chewing one piece of gum every 1-2 hours at first, or it may be used by chewing one piece of gum whenever you have the urge to smoke.Nicotine gum should be chewed slowly until you can taste the nicotine or feel a slight tingling in your mouth. Then stop chewing and place (park) the chewing gum between your cheek and gum. When the tingling is almost gone (about 1 minute), start chewing again; repeat this procedure for about 30 minutes.Do not chew nicotine gum too fast, do not chew more than one piece of gum at a time, and do not chew one piece too soon after another. If you are using the 2-mg gum, do not chew more than 30 pieces a day if you are under the supervision of a doctor or 24 pieces a day if you are not under the supervision of a doctor. If you are using the 4-mg gum, do not chew more than 24 pieces a day.Gradually begin reducing the amount of nicotine gum used after 2-3 months. This reduced use over time will help prevent nicotine-withdrawal symptoms.

All products are authentic brand names and will include a product information insert in English.Medical Information:Levotiron tablets contain the active ingredient levothyroxine sodium (previously known simply as thyroxine sodium in the UK). (NB. Levothyroxine is also available without a brand name, ie as the generic medicine.) Levothyroxine is the same as the hormone thyroxine, which is produced naturally by the thyroid gland. The thyroid gland produces and releases two thyroid hormones: thyroxine (T4) and tri-iodothyronine (T3). Tri-iodothyronine is the more active thyroid hormone, and thyroxine is converted into T3 in various parts of the body. These hormones are responsible for maintaining a normal rate of metabolism in the body. When the thyroid gland is unable to produce normal amounts of thyroxine, the level of both thyroid hormones in the blood decreases (hypothyroidism). This results in a reduced rate of metabolism, leading to symptoms such as weight gain, intolerance to cold and tiredness.Levothyroxine tablets are given to replace the thyroxine that would normally be produced naturally by the thyroid gland. This returns levels of T3 and T4 to normal.Once the thyroid gland becomes unable to produce thyroxine, it will generally not return to normal function. This means that once thyroxine replacement is started, it usually needs to be taken for the rest of a personĘs life. The daily dose should preferably be taken before breakfast. What is it used for? Underproduction of thyroid hormones by the thyroid gland (hypothyroidism). Calvasc is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). High blood pressure usually has no symptoms. Having your blood pressure checked on a regular basis is the only way of knowing that you have hypertension. Untreated high blood pressure can lead to serious health problems.Calvasc belongs to a group of medicines called calcium channel blockers or calcium ion antagonists. These medicines work by widening your blood vessels. This makes it easier for your heart to pump blood around the body while also increasing the supply of blood and oxygen to your heart. Calcium channel blockers do not change the amount of calcium in your blood or bones.Calvasc is also used to treat angina pectoris. This pain is due to your heart not receiving enough oxygen. It is felt as a pain or uncomfortable feeling in the chest, often spreading to the arms or neck, and sometimes to the shoulders and back. Calvasc cannot be used for the relief of a sudden attack of angina. Your doctor will have given you other medication to treat sudden attacks. used to control travel sickness, Nausea and Vomitting, the symptoms of inner ear disorders such as Meniere's disease.
